Solids..

Today's post is playing with some solids. H&M is one of my favorite places that I have found some great solids that have lasted me for a lot time. Both the skirt and the blouse were purchased at the same time last summer. {This shirt is still in stores! I have seen maroon and green but not this pink as of lately} This outfit is so comfy and easy to wear especially on  a hot summer day. I'm still obsessing over my Urban Outfitter sandals. I now want these!

Weekend fun...

Shirt: Old Navy (similar) , Pants: TJ Max (old), Sandals: Urban Outfitters (recent), Hat: Old Navy, Watch: Fossil (old) Bracelet: Thrifted

This week/weekend was full of house hunting (which explains my no makeup, shower appearance... no time!!), family, snowbird, pool time, boating, and so much more! We have been so busy! We have loved our time with our families and time together. Today's post is mixing some of my weekend fun & an outfit that includes my favorite pants ever! I picked up these floral jeans at TJ Max last summer and still I wear them all the time... (Opps!) They are way comfy but sooo cute. I'm also obsessed with my Urban Outfitter sandals! Perfect for my summer :)

Some more photo's from this fun weekend so far! Follow along on Instagram: @kahanaora

Temple time :) This sister of mine is Spain bound on July 24th!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend & fabulous fathers day!

Aloha Hello, Aloha Goodbye

Aloha!!! Well we are back from our Hawaiian adventure... and soooo sad that we had to leave! We loved every second of our vacation. (especially the part where we could sleep in and then go to the beach!) When we arrived in Hawaii we had to stay at a hotel because our condo didn't start until the next day. I have to tell you of the funny story that happened to us while we stayed there. At about 3:30 in the morning we heard pounding on our door. We decided to ignore it and went back to sleep. Then again at 5 am there was pounding on our door again. This time Zack got up and went to the door. There was a drunk lady there telling us to let her in. Zack told her she had the wrong room and she responded by saying, "No I don't, let me in!" (and  swore at him... ha-ha) Zack said, "yes you do, go away!" and shut the door. Luckily she went away but now we have a funny story to tell!

The next day we drove up the Pali high way and went to the Pali lookout. It was beautiful! We spend some time at the most beautiful beach called Lanikai beach. The water is so blue and the sand so soft and white! This also began the beginning of our many sunburns. I highly recommend this beach to whoever is on Oahu! Finally we were able to go to our condo on the Makaha side of the island. It was a little bit far but perfect for us! We had our own private entrance to the beach the condo's were on. Talk about amazing!

Over the next week we went to some of my favorite places on the island of Oahu. We went to the Dole Pineapple Plantation, up and down the north shore (waimea, sunset, pupukea, & turtle beach), The shrimp trucks, The Polynesian Cultural Center, Laie LDS temple, and Kahana Bay & state park. It was such an amazing week. One of our other favorite memories was playing in the waves that were coming in on Waimea bay!

We are wishing we could go back but for now we will just have to settle for our countdown until Hawaii next summer! Here are some photo's from our trip!

The view from the Pali lookout!
The view from our condo!

Our hike up the Laie Ridge! (on accident...)

One of my favorite outfits from the trip! In hawaii you always need a great summer dress to wear!
Dress: J.Crew (craving this one!), Bag: via TJ Max, Sandals: Urban Outfitters, Watch: Fossil (old)
My other favorite outfit! (loving these flowy skirts & neon!)
shirt: J.Crew Vintage v-neck, Skirt: Old Navy (gifted & old) wanting this one!, Shoes: Sam Edelman (old) via TJ Max, Belt: via Ross (old)
Now I have this countdown to look forward to...

Hope everyone has had a fabulous Memorial day!

A Birthday Wishlist

A while ago my husband asked me to put together a "birthday wishlist" so he had an idea of what to get me! I also love surprises so he didn't want me to know exactly what he was going to get. I'm excited to see what he picks from my "wish list"!! I thought I would share some of the items on my list!

Steve Madden Wesley Booties
I know I know.... its almost summer! But these are the perfect transition boots for all seasons! (I'm thinking year round wearing!)
Vintage cotton V-neck tee
J.Crew Vintage Cotton V-neck Tee's (my favorite tee ever)

No. 2 pencil skirt in neon tweed

No. 2 Pencil Skirts (The best pencil skirt I have ever owned!)

Liberty perfect shirt in Amy Hurrel floral

I adore the Liberty perfect shirt in floral! Perfect for spring

Loved these sandals from Urban Outfitters!

Stripe cotton-silk popover

Dying over this pink J.Crew number!

Factory neon stone and crystal necklace
Cant forget some jewelry.. loving the neon necklace!

Making this list was a lot of fun! I haven't had a ton of time this semester to really look or go shopping.. (which is probably also a good thing!) Last day of student teaching today... such a weird feeling! No lessons to plan for tomorrow.. onto continuing the job hunt! Wish me luck.

For all of those with family members in Boston, participants in the Boston marathon, or for all those affected we are praying for you! My heart goes out to all of the victims and their families.
