I have been sooo excited for this post!! This amazing skirt has an amazing story to it. My cousin Haylee Atkinson from the blog Threaded is such a talented designer and seamstress! She literally makes the most beautiful clothes. I had seen a recent post of a skirt that she made that was with this same fabulous fabric! I immediately messaged her and told her that I wanted one! She was so nice to willingly make me this skirt that I can 100% say is my favorite skirt in my closet! It has a calm neutral feel to it with pops of gold! {definitely my favorite!!!} Check out her blog and her amazing talent! This wont be the last piece of clothing that I will ask her to make for me... {heads up Haylee!! :)}

First, I have to admit.. Neutrals have been on repeat for me as of lately! This little sun dress is one of my favorites to wear. It goes with everything and is light & airy! {cant beat that in this hot place called Utah!} I paired it with my favorite Steve Madden Booties my husband got me for my birthday :) They are so fun to wear! Perfect shoe to throw on with a sundress and cardigan or jacket.

Second, I want to say thank you to everyone who has followed me, left a comment, or even just stopped by my blog! You all are amazing! I have felt so much support since starting my blog and can't thank you enough! I have loved every second!

Fashion Flirtation...

Okay.. I am so excited for today's post! I am honored to have Victoria from Fashion Flirtation guest posting for me :) Ever since I have found her blog she has become a daily read! She always has the most amazing fashion posts! The best part is they are always so affordable, take it away Victoria!

My name is Victoria and I'm so excited to be guest posting for Kahana today. I found her blog a couple of months ago and instantly fell in love. She has the greatest fashion sense, and her blog is definitely one of my daily reads! I started a fashion blog, Fashion Flirtation, about 5 months ago to share my love for fashion and writing. I have always been an avid stalker reader of fashion blogs, but it always drove me crazy that the clothing I was seeing on these blogs just wasn't affordable--especially for a newlywed like myself. I decided t start Fashion Flirtation to show women that you can be fashionable on a budget. You don't have to spend a fortune to look like a million bucks! Most of my clothing comes from places like Forever 21, Marshalls, and Old Navy--with the occasional J. Crew splurge.

I am a firm believer in breaking any and all fashion rules. I think that you should wear what makes you feel confident and beautiful, no matter what it is. Don't follow the latest fashion trends if you don't like them, because it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks of you--the only thing that matters is how you feel about yourself! I believe in taking risks and being bold when it comes to fashion.

Besides blogging, I love to go shopping, do puzzles, cuddle with my husband, catch up on my favorite TV shows, and stalk other blogs. Feel free to head on over to Fashion Flirtation, and I'd love it if you'd follow along with me! :)

Today's look consists of one of my favorite prints being stripes! You can never go wrong with stripes.. {and more stripes!}. This outfit is one of my favorites as of recently because of how light and casual it is. This is a must have especially in these hot summer months! I picked up both of these pieces at J. Crew Factory on sale! They have some amazing sale prices right now for their clear the clearance! {plus some great new merchandise!} I can't wait to get my hands on it!

Red, White, & Blue are such classic colors that always look great together! {plus very patriotic!} This is a great time to reflect on the amazing country we live in and the freedom we all are blessed to have! Happy Friday everyone!! So happy its finally the weekend.  Today's post includes one of my favorite dresses! I've had this pretty number for almost two years now and still its one of my favorites! Its the perfect blush color. My family was going to do family pictures and this was one of the colors. While looking, I saw this dress online at Nordstroms and knew I needed to have it. When going to the store it was no where to be found! I finally asking someone in the store if they had this dress and showed them a picture. To my surprise someone had just returned it in my size!! (yes it was meant to be... ha-ha) I was so happy and still adore it.

Had to include a lovely picture of me and the hubs! :)
