Pumpkin Patching it

One thing that I have always wanted to make a tradition for my family is going to a pumpkin patch every year! It is such a fun atmosphere and just is a huge jump into the transition of fall! (who doesn't love fall?!) This year we went to Peterson Family Farms in West Jordan. It was fun to see all the pumpkins everywhere! They have activities for the kids, a huge slide, hay rides, and a big farmers market! I love all the fresh produce they provided.

Now that Mavryk is 6 months, he is so much more aware of everything in his surroundings! He is so drawn to color and big objects. He loves dirt, grass, and now leaves! They all have different feels to them as well as making noise! Its crazy that even with how simple some of these objects are, they are so fascinating to him. I can tell he already has a huge imagination! Hope your Halloween festivities are off to a fun start!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Graduation & weekend fun!

Best weekend ever! I think that is the best way I could describe it. It actually started at the beginning of the week when my mom came into town. We were able to go to lunch and shopping to celebrate both of our birthdays. My family hasn't been home for about four months and finally was coming back to visit! My dad and brothers came in on Thursday morning. It was so good to catch up and spend time with them. Thursday came and it was time for one of the biggest events, Graduation! It hadn't really hit me I was done until that night at commencement. When they finally said, "you are now graduates of UVU, you can move your tassels to the left!!" I am done!!! It was one of the best feelings ever I am pretty sure to hear those words. After graduation we went to Texas Road House. All I was craving was those rolls that they serve you. They are amazing! I was more than satisfied.

Friday was the convocations where I actually walked to get my diploma. It was an early morning because it was at 8 a.m., however, after that last ceremony I was done. I think I was driving Zack nuts as we were driving to the ceremony because we were almost late. I am the worst back seat driver and this just increased it. I felt way bad but luckily we made it in time!  After the convocation we took some pictures and then it was breakfast at Mimi's. Mm Such good breakfast! Later that day, Zack took me to get a pedicure :) Best husband award! He spoils me. After we went and got some hot dogs and played with our new Frisbee at the park. Friday was also a sad day. We had to put our cat Thomas down... we have had him for over 10 years! He was getting really old and it was his time to go. The vet told my dad he would be in cat heaven. We had a little burial for him that night! It made us all feel a little better!

Saturday consisted of sleeping in, waking up to do some yard work, then one of my best friends Emily's wedding shower! I love weddings and am so excited for this one. Forgive me for the picture overload but I loved all of them way to much. Sadly my family had to head back to Arizona Saturday night... cant wait until they come back!

Hope you have all had a wonderful weekend!

A Month of Countdowns...

This month has definitely  been full of countdowns! For the past 3 months I have been student teaching 8th grade at Indian Hills Middle school in Sandy. I have Loved it! Its so crazy to me that I am almost done... 1 more day! Its bitter sweet for me. So much work has been put into this semester and teaching but it has shown me how much I like love what I do.

9 days: Nine more days until my family gets here! They moved in January to Arizona right after my wedding. Needless to say January was a crazy month. I miss them  and cant wait to see them!

10 days:  GRADUATION!!! I cant tell you how much work has been put into getting to this point. This past year school has not been easy.... not at all! However, I think I have learned more about myself in the past year than ever before.

Yay!!!!!

14 days:  Birthday!  I feel like I am getting so old, but I am only turning 22! I am a huge birthday person and love celebrating them. Its a day all about you! Who doesn't love that?

28 Days: Emily & Stephens Wedding! I love these two and they are adorable. They will have the most beautiful wedding and I am excited to be apart of it! (best friends weddings are the best!) Plus they have the best photographer Jordan!!! We loved having her as our photographer!

And for the last countdown I have right now....

32 Days: Hawaii!!!!! Zack & I finally get to take our longer honeymoon! He has never been and I cant wait to show him a place that I love.

 Weekend Fun
I am so exited for everything on this countdown! It makes life so much more fun when you have things to look forward to, and so many good things! This weekend was also a much needed time for relaxing. The best part was Zack had work off on Saturday! This meant that we could actually plan to do some things during the day. (and Friday we could stay up later! -- I know.. we are already old!) Friday night we went and saw the movie 42. I am going to be bold enough to say that it was  the best movie I have seen in awhile. Everyone needs to see it! We even went to the dollar store and purchased our candy for the movie.... (yeah we are obsessed with candy, movie theater popcorn, & of course our drink!)

This was what I decided to wear for this date night. Its always fun getting ready to go out. (don't mind the mess of a bedroom)

Top: J.Crew Factory (another great Red number here) Jeans: AE (old), Shoes: F21 (old), Watch: Fossil, Bracelets: Thrifted, Urban Outfitters (old) but loving this one! Necklace: Anthropologie (old)

Saturday we got to enjoy our Pass of all Passes! (great investment!) We wanted to go Mini golfing however the weather disagreed with us and started to rain. Then Zack had a great idea to go to an indoor mini golf! We discovered Planet Play. For just a $1 we were able to do unlimited mini golf, laser tag, and go carts! Our friends Jenny and Calum joined us and we had a blast! (tons of children running around... but still a good time!) We ended Saturday with another movie with friends: Incredible Burt Wonderstone. Funny movie but I would have to say 42 was my favorite!

Hope you all have a great Monday!

A year of Beautiful Beginings

As long as I could remember, I have wanted to start a blog! I am an avid blog reader and love getting new ideas and inspiration from them. I have now built up the confidence to start up my own! This year I have had and will have many new beginnings. I was married January 2nd 2013 to Zack Bigelow and have loved this new adventure! There is never a dull moment. I will graduate in one month from Utah Valley University in Health education. Crazy! Time has flown and now I see a light at the end of the tunnel. I will also start into a new career not just a job. Its a scary time of transition but also excitement to figure out where we will end up in our future and what we will accomplish!

To start my blog I decided I was going to share how Zack and I met. We get asked all the time so now Ill have it in writing :)

The Story
In February 2012 we met at a friends house. Zack had served as a mission companion to a friend that I had in high school. (Small World!) He tried to offer me a seat on the couch to which I denied. I had been dating someone else for a very long time and the last thing on my mind was flirting with someone else. Little did I know, after that meeting, Zack was asking about me and wanted to get to know me better. Our friends told him to  move on because I most likely wouldn't give him the time of day -- which was true at first. A couple months went by and we met again. This time it was mini golfing. All our friends got together to go and we began to talk a little bit more. However, I still was dating someone else and wasn't thinking that we were going to date. He began to add me on different social media sites like Facebook, instagram, and twitter. I followed him back on all of them and that began my curiosity in Zackery Bigelow. A couple weeks later, everyone got together for a bonfire at Southwood park. I went with some of my girl friends and then Zack showed up....... with a another girl! Secretly I was kind of bugged.. but brushed it off and had fun. He later told me he was so mad that he brought another girl because I was there! We didn't end up talking that much during that night. We met a few more times through group gatherings of mini golf, fires, and bowling. Finally in June, Zack sent me a tweet! (hahaha I know... this is what it took.) I had been doing henna tattoos at my sisters graduation party and Zack took that moment to tweet that he wanted me to give him one! The very next day I gave him my number so we could talk easier than tweets and Facebook messages. After talking all day, I invited him to go to the drive-in movies with all our friends. We meet and ended up just talking the whole movie. The whole next week we talked non stop! He came down to Provo to visit me. We hiked the Y (my first time ever), went grocery shopping (I know... that about made me fall in love right then), and then went to Cafe Rio. He would call me at night to wish me good night, text me throughout the day, and was just there for me. I started to get really confused. I was still dating someone else and I didn't know what to do. The relationship I had been in for so long wasn't the healthiest. For the majority of the time it had been long distance and we hardly saw each other. I knew I needed a change but change was hard. That weekend we hung out with a bunch of friends up at my families condo at Snow Bird Lodge. That night I started to be distant. Little to say I told him in a text when he left that we couldn't hang out or talk anymore. I needed to figure out what I was going to do. He was heartbroken and even though I didn't want to admit it, I was to. That next Wednesday I decided I had to see him. I texted him and we met for dinner at Rumbi's in American Fork so it was half way for both of us. We didn't talk much at dinner, but after we sat and talked for 4 hours! That talk led to me breaking up with my long time boyfriend and knew that Zack was the one I was supposed to be with for forever. Such a crazy feeling! I had never felt it before in my life. We haven't been apart since!
The End
