Gone Fishing!

Naturally since I got a new fishing pole for my birthday, (did I mention it has Pink on it?!) we had to try it out! My first fish I caught was last year with Zack at Lake Powell! We cant wait for our vacation back their in August, but for now Deer Creek will have to do! We invited our friends Charlee and Chase on our Fishing expedition. We had so much fun and hope to actually catch something the next time! Here is some photos from our adventure :)!

Wedding Bliss 05.13.13

Yesterday was probably one of the hottest days of the year but one of the most beautiful! Em and Stephen got married and it was such an amazing day to be apart of. I have known both of them for a long time and am so happy they are finally married! Congrats you two!! Love you both :) Here are some photos from the big day!! 

I love weddings and the warm weather we are having!! Such a fun day. Now its the countdown to Hawaii that I am so excited about! 3 Days!!!

Mothers day!

I want to tell my mom how much I love her and appreciate her! I wouldn't be where I am without her in my life helping me all along the way. Mothers are an amazing gift and I've been the luckiest daughter! She is the most selfless person that I know and I hope that someday I can be at least half of the mother that she is!

This week has been packed full of fun times with friends and family. Its also finally so warm outside! I love being able to wake up and go for a run in this weather. Plus I'm getting some sun... this will be much needed for Hawaii! Zack has said it multiple times.. we are going to burn... but the plus side of that is it always turns into a tan. I cant wait!! 5 more days and we will be in the beautiful islands of Hawaii. It was my favorite place to go!! Yes, I have been counting down for the past two months. I just cant wait to relax on the beach and just get away from all the stresses at home. 

This week we were able to celebrate one of my best friends birthdays! Jenny & Emily have been my best friends since 5th grade! I have been so lucky to have them as friends for so long. They are some of my biggest supporters and I love them. For Em's birthday lunch we went to Gourmandise Bakery in Salt Lake. Can I say its one of the best places to eat! If you haven't tried it you have to go. Em's sister Brittany also came! Its always so fun when we all get together. 

Thursday was a big day because Em was going through the temple! We were all able to go with her as she went through for the first time. I love the temple and the peaceful feelings that it gives. It was also so much fun to be able to go through with my best friends all there! 

Now for the weekend! I love the weekend and being able to spend it with my amazing husband! Since we are going to Hawaii next Friday he has had to work a lot more. However, Saturday we were able to go out for date night! I have talked already about one of our favorite things to do together.. mini golf! so of course we decide to go do that. Its always so fun and you get some good laughs. This time I got a hole in one! Zack had started to tell me about how the last time he got a hole in one was on this exact hole we were on... as he was telling me I hit the ball and what do you know... I got it in! I was so excited.. the people next to us congratulated me. Loved it! Zack still won though 51 to 48 but that is okay. It was still so fun! I love date nights and the amazing warm weather we can now do things outside!

I'm so happy that its basically summer and I cant wait for Hawaii!! Until then, Emily's wedding is tomorrow! Then a week to get ready.

A Month of Countdowns...

This month has definitely  been full of countdowns! For the past 3 months I have been student teaching 8th grade at Indian Hills Middle school in Sandy. I have Loved it! Its so crazy to me that I am almost done... 1 more day! Its bitter sweet for me. So much work has been put into this semester and teaching but it has shown me how much I like love what I do. 

9 days: Nine more days until my family gets here! They moved in January to Arizona right after my wedding. Needless to say January was a crazy month. I miss them  and cant wait to see them!

10 days:  GRADUATION!!! I cant tell you how much work has been put into getting to this point. This past year school has not been easy.... not at all! However, I think I have learned more about myself in the past year than ever before. 

Yay!!!!!

14 days:  Birthday!  I feel like I am getting so old, but I am only turning 22! I am a huge birthday person and love celebrating them. Its a day all about you! Who doesn't love that?

28 Days: Emily & Stephens Wedding! I love these two and they are adorable. They will have the most beautiful wedding and I am excited to be apart of it! (best friends weddings are the best!) Plus they have the best photographer Jordan!!! We loved having her as our photographer!

32 Days: Hawaii!!!!! Zack & I finally get to take our longer honeymoon! He has never been and I cant wait to show him a place that I love.
                                                          

 Weekend Fun

I am so exited for everything on this countdown! It makes life so much more fun when you have things to look forward to, and so many good things! This weekend was also a much needed time for relaxing. The best part was Zack had work off on Saturday! This meant that we could actually plan to do some things during the day. (and Friday we could stay up later! -- I know.. we are already old!) Friday night we went and saw the movie 42. I am going to be bold enough to say that it was  the best movie I have seen in awhile. Everyone needs to see it! We even went to the dollar store and purchased our candy for the movie.... (yeah we are obsessed with candy, movie theater popcorn, & of course our drink!)

This was what I decided to wear for this date night. Its always fun getting ready to go out. (don't mind the mess of a bedroom)

 Saturday we got to enjoy our Pass of all Passes! (great investment!) We wanted to go Mini golfing however the weather disagreed with us and started to rain. Then Zack had a great idea to go to an indoor mini golf! We discovered Planet Play. For just a $1 we were able to do unlimited mini golf, laser tag, and go carts! Our friends Jenny and Calum joined us and we had a blast! (tons of children running around... but still a good time!) We ended Saturday with another movie with friends: Incredible Burt Wonderstone. Funny movie but I would have to say 42 was my favorite!

An Easter Weekend

I love Easter weekend! It always seems to be so sunny and warm. Definitely could get used to this warm weather! What can I say, I am ready for summer! This weekend is always an amazing time reflecting on our savior and the sacrifice that he made for us to bring us the Atonement. This past week I got to enjoy spring break with nothing to do! Sleeping in every day was needed, especially since its a rare case with student teaching every day during the week! Zack had to work and go to school this week, but on his days off we were able to actually have fun together doing things we enjoyed! We were even able to get all our Bed, Bath, & Beyond gift registry shopping done with the gift cards from our wedding! (That makes shopping fun!) Then yesterday while Zack was at work for the morning, I was able to get some shopping done for both our Easter outfits at J.Crew factory outlet! Everything was 50% off.... I couldn't resist!! Then I was able to pick up some things for Zack to wake up to for Easter morning. Dr. Pepper (24 pack-obsessed) and the first season of the office are both things he enjoys. We have been on a TV series kick lately... our new obsession: Modern Family! Soooo funny. We just laugh the whole time we watch it! 

Saturday afternoon we were able to do something we both love doing together, Mini golf!!! Of course we have to make it a competition every time, so its always intense... We keep score very closely! In the end we tied.. can you believe it? We were shocked! But all in all it was a blast! I think I could mini golf every day if I could. Top it off with dinner at Chili's? Mm yes great day!

Lastly, we were able to go to the farewell of my favorite girl Dani!! She is going to serve in Manchester England. I'm so proud of her and her willingness to go out and serve! She will be the best missionary, not to mention the cutest! Love you!!

Am I ready to get back to school? I'm about half way there. I love teaching and cant wait until I have my own classroom! However, I love being able to sleep in with nothing set to do! Oh well, only two more weeks of student teaching and then I graduate!!! I can't believe it is almost here.. I am in awe. Hard work pays off! Now its on for the job hunt. Wish me luck!!
